Outsourcing - What to Outsource?

Topic Progress:

Chances are you're probably already outsourcing some of your business tasks. You probably have a bookkeeper, you might have someone who helps you do some minor admin tasks and you might have someone who helps you with your website, but that's probably the extent to it.

These days though, you can outsource almost any task you can think of. The important thing to decide is, what should be outsourced and what tasks are best done by you. If you have expertise then it would be best if you write the content for your blogs, but that doesn't mean you can't get someone to help you do some research so you don't spend hours searching through the internet, right? Right.

Here's a list of 21 tasks you can outsource;

  1. Email Management
  2. Booking appointments with clients
  3. Simple Data Entry in Microsoft word or excel
  4. Setting up Email Autoresponders
  5. Calendar Management
  6. File Management (organising your online files)
  7. Research on certain topics for future blog posts
  8. Transcription. Turning your videos, audio recordings, podcasts etc into written format
  9. Video Editing (Editing raw footage and adding intro's and outro's to videos'
  10. Creating reports and PDF documents for clients
  11. Preparing Slideshows for presentations or webinars
  12. Managing your WordPress blog
  13. Publish posts to your blog
  14. General administration tasks
  15. Social Media Management
  16. Upload Videos to Youtube
  17. Create eBook content
  18. Copywriting
  19. Graphic Designer (create logo, pdfs, animations, banners, infographics, images for blog posts)
  20. Web Designer (designing landing pages, sales pages, membership areas)
  21. Ongoing website maintenance.

As I mentioned previously, you can outsource anything that you can think of, and you can do it for a fraction of the price that you could pay someone locally. So, have a think about it and try it out. Write a list of all of the things you've been meaning to do over the past 6 months but haven't got it done, and then figure out whether you can outsource any of these tasks. You'll find that you can get a heck of a lot more done in a shorter amount of time and often to a higher standard if you invest in outsourcing.
